These conditions are provided by hardworking volunteers.
Always check ice conditions before going on the lake. The rider is
ultimately responsible for his own safety.
The following is a trail report
for 3/24/08
All trails on the Bruhawachet Sno-Trackers trail remain open. Larger
trails on our system remain in very good condition. Some of the smaller
back area trails have a few open water bars but remain passable at this
time.
Grooming operations continue on a daily basis and will do so as long as
weather permits. Recent snow and cold weather has allowed us to keep
the trails open and very good for riding.
Anyone that has any questions or problems with trails in our area can
email me at
drewnutting@hotmail.com.
Thanks, Drew/Trail Master

The following is a trail report
for 3/10/08
There is still plenty of snow on the Bruhawachet Sno-Trackers trail
system. Cold weather has returned and most of the wet areas from
Saturday’s rain have re-frozen.
Some grooming on some of the larger trails has resumed and should
continue throughout the week as weather permits.
I should have reports on some of the smaller trails later in the week.
Two groomers are now back in service and the third should be returning
by the week-end.
On Thursday morning MB Tractor is scheduled to bring the ASV Scout and
MTN drag up to our trail system for us to try. If you are in the area,
drop me an email and ill give you a time and place where you can see it
in operation. I will post my opinions after the trial.
Thanks, Drew/Trail Master

The following is
a trail report for 3/2/08
As many of you know; there is plenty of snow on the Bruhawachet
Sno-Trackers trail system. During the last week we have had over a foot
of fresh snow fall.
Grooming efforts have been slowed by the deep snow until the trails are
packed down somewhat. By all indications grooming of all trails should
resume tomorrow.
Several members were out on Saturday and trimmed brush on Annie's Loop,
Three Ponds, and the Warren Trail. Thanks to Laurie, Eddie, Dave,
Chris, Jeff, Wally, and George for all the hard work.
A temporary bridge was installed on the Annie's Loop trail just south of
the Three Ponds junction in order to aid in crossing a small brook that
just would not freeze this season. This is not a standard bridge and
care should be taken when crossing it. Signs have been posted in both
directions as a precaution. Thanks to Mick and Ed H. for their
assistance in that work.
At the club meeting last night a BBQ and work party was planned for
3/15/08. Members who wish to lend a hand can meet us at Three Ponds in
front of the lean-too. We will be trimming brush over to the Mt Kineo
and Brown Brook trails as needed. BBQ to follow. Bring clippers,
loppers, or similar brush cutting tools. Cheering on by passers by
always welcome.
Thanks, Drew/Trail Master

Here's an update
for 2/26/08
Went out grooming with Ed B. today on the following trails.
Annie's Loop, Three Ponds, Mt Kineo, Brown Brook, Camp Seven, Mead
Swamp, Watts Trail, South Trail, and Condo Trail.
Ed B also did Quick Lunch and North Trail.
Had some water exposed on Annie's Loop close to the Three Ponds Bridge.
Couple of small spots repaired.
Will try to get the large spot on Annie's repaired on Thursday.
Thanks, Drew/Trail Master

The following is
a trail report for 2/24/08
All trails in the Bruhawachet Sno-Trackers trail service remain open and
are in good condition. Grooming operations continue on a daily basis.
Care should be taken in high traffic areas as some icy conditions will
develop from time to time.
George McQuillan and I attended a groomer rodeo today in Washington, N.H.
to check out some of the latest grooming equipment. We were able to
check out and operate the ASV groomer which we both thought did a great
job. Some of the equipment was amazing.
If anyone should have any questions about the trails or information on
trail conditions or problems please email me.

Congrats to George and Chris who rode 255 miles yesterday around the
state and certainly set some kind of endurance record for the amount of
time spent on a sled in one day.

Trail report for 2/20/08
Went out with Ed Beulieau today and did some trail grooming today. We
observed the following conditions.
Annie's Loop very good with a few open water bars.
Three Ponds very good with one open water bar.
Warren Trail good with a few open water bars and ice conditions on the
big hill.
Brown Brook good with a few open water bars.
Quick Lunch Excellent
Camp Seven good, real bumpy but should groom out to be excellent
Overall the rain did not hurt the trails but did open up most of the
problem water spots that we have had all year. We tried fixing a few of
the worse ones but I doubt they will hold because of the volume of water
still in the crossings.
I suggest that if you ride on some of the smaller trails that you ride
with someone that can help you in the event you need help in some of
these spots. The larger trails should be no problem.
Thanks, Drew/Trail Master

The following is a trail report for 2/17/08
If you missed riding this week-end; you probably missed some of
the best riding of the season. Trails here and in adjoining areas were
in some of the best shape seen in some time. There are still a few
water bars, that we have struggled to correct that are still open. We
were still out this week-end trying to fill them in. Use caution riding
because they still continue to open up and present a hazard.
All trails in our system have been groomed at least once this week-end
with the exception of Eagle Cliff. Special thanks to the rider who tore
up the Mt Kineo trail. It was disgusting. Riders should know that open
swamp areas are not open to riding and riders should stay on the trail
at all times. These areas are in the National Forest and are
protected. Trails could be closed because of riding in these areas. I
would hope that none of our club members would disrespect these areas
and the trails we have by causing all this damage. Three of us groomed
the Mt Kineo trail today and I hope this damage isn't repeated. It only
takes one jerk to spoil it for everyone.
Enjoy the great riding while it lasts. All trails are open and in good
shape. Take care of our trail system. Respect the hard work done by
others. Write me if you have any questions of comments.

Trail
report for 2/11/08
The trails in our trail system are in good shape and there is plenty of
snow covering all terrain. The large amount of snow has actually made
grooming a little more difficult for us as the large amount of loose
snow is harder to move around.
As more riders get out there and beat the loose snow down the trails
should be in better condition as grooming continues.
Trails with open water crossing were shoveled in again this week-end and
hopefully these conditions will be corrected.
Yesterday Laurie and I took a ride down Doe Town Road to Rumney
Village. This trail was in much better shape than in recent years
thanks to work by new members Dan and Sam. Thanks for your hard work.
There are still a few open water areas on this trail but it was very
passable. Hopefully this trail will continue to improve.
Thanks, Drew/Trail Master

The
following is a trail report for 2/4/08
All
trails remain open in the Bruhawachet Sno-Trackers trail system.
There are several small water bars on Annie's Loop, Brown Brook, Three
Ponds, North Trail and the Warren Trail. None of these were difficult
to cross with care.
The larger trails still are holding snow well and are in good
condition. Some slush is showing during the day and caution should be
used.
There are also several new bob houses on the lake which could become
hazards at night so use care while crossing the lake at night.
Thanks to everyone for the great showing at the BBQ on Saturday. It was
great to see all of you who support our club.

The
following is a trail report for 1/28/08
Trails are now improving because of heavy grooming over the week-end.
Annie’s Loop was shoveled in on Saturday and groomed by Ed h and George
on Sunday and is in good condition.
Eagle Cliff was groomed by George and Ed H on Sunday and is in good
shape.
Stinson Mt was groomed last night and is in good shape except for a
large ice patch just over the bridge.
Warren Trail was groomed by me and Ed H on Saturday and is in good
shape. There are a few rough spots after the big hill to the totem
pole.
Ed H and I broke and groomed the Brown Brook trail from Three Ponds to
the Stinson lake rd and still needs some work and is in fair shape.
The Mt Kineo Trail is missing the crossing over Brown Brook so it needs
to be repaired before it can be groomed. There were sled tracks going
out there but I have no idea how far they got.
North Trail still is a challenge to keep groomed and free of water.
We'll keep at it and hope it improves but for what it was it is not too
bad.
Mead Swamp, Camp Seven, Watts Trail, Quick Lunch, Three Ponds, and lake
connectors are in very good condition.
Thanks to Sid, Ed H, George, Dave, and others who worked hard on the
trails this week-end. Ed B get well soon.
See you all at the BBQ on the lake on Saturday noon.
Thanks, Drew/Trail Master

The
following is a trail report for 1/21/08
Many club members have been busy doing trail work this week-end. A lot
of repairs and grooming have been done to improve and open trails that
were damaged by recent rains.
North Trail open and groomed with repairs done by Ed b. and Sid to large
water holes.
Warren trail open and groomed to the beaver pond and broken to the totem
pole. Some work remains to be done so use caution.
Eagle Cliff open but not groomed as of yet. Hopefully will get done
during the week.
Annie's Loop open to the turn around but still in bad shape.
Stinson Mountain open and groomed.
Watts, Quick Lunch, Camp Seven, and Mead Swamp groomed in very good
condition.
Three Ponds open and Groomed in good condition.
Happy T, Wheaton, Condo, and South Trail open in good condition.
Many thanks to Ed B. Ed H. Sid, George, Kevin, and David and others who
worked hard this week-end.
Don't forget the BBQ on the lake on Feb 2nd noon. Tell you friends.

The following is a trail report for 1/15/08.
Went out and checked some trails today. There are mixed
conditions on all trails in our system. We received about 3 inches
of new snow yesterday with more to come on Friday. Unfortunately
the 3 inches of snow was not enough to cover some of the bare spots and
water bars created by the warm weather and rain.
The weather has been colder so some of the open water bars are now
refreezing. The larger more open trails are in better shape than
the narrow back trails. Trying to climb Stinson was not possible
because of ice under the thin coat of snow. Made it up about three
fourths of the way.
The lake was frozen and bumpy. If you ride the rule should be to
go slow and use care. Hopefully if we get enough snow on Friday we
can groom out the trouble spots and get back to where we were before the
thaw.
Thanks, Drew/Trail Master

The following is a trail report for 1/6/08
More trails are opening every day and grooming continues on a daily
basis.
Warm weather today and for the upcoming week are making conditions wet
and slushy. Some water bars that we have managed to close up and groom
over may open up again and may have water showing by the end of the
week.
The volume of snow should keep the trails open despite the warm
conditions.
The following trails are open;
Stinson Mtn groomed
North Trail Groomed
Happy T Groomed
Quick Lunch Groomed
Camp Seven Groomed
Mead Swamp Groomed
Watts Trail Groomed
Three Ponds Groomed
Annie’s Loop Groomed to the turn around broken to three pond bridge.
Not recommended for riding yet;
Eagle Cliff broken.
Brown Brook not broken.
Mt Kenio not broken.
Warren Trail
not broken.
Hopefully during the week we can get to the unbroken trails and have
them open for next week-end.
Please remind all your friend and family that the club will have a fund
raising BBQ on Feb 2nd on the lake.
Anyone with any question or trail comments can email me at
drewnutting@hotmail.com or call me at 603-786-2547. I can also help
out with club memberships.

The following is a trail report for 12/15/07
Sorry for the
late post. Webmaster had some computer issues.
I hope to have another update for this coming weekend soon.
As of this date the lake is not safe for riding. Some trails have been
used but are not groomed as of yet. Riders should use extreme caution as
many rocks and obstructions still are found on many of the trails. We
still need more snow to get things opened and groomed and hopefully by
the end of the week conditions will change.
Thanks, Drew Nutting/trail master
